I strikes me as weird how often I've heard that the best way to be productive is to ignore my emotions and keep going, when some of the worst productivity killers—such as procrastination and feeling stuck—are the results of deep-seated emotions such as fear and anger/irritation.
I think it would be awesome to see emotional awareness become part of the productivity advice landscape, because motivation comes from how we feel. Our eMotions are what puts us in Motion, either towards or away from our goals. I believe ignoring the impact of emotions holds many people back from achieving what they want in life because ignoring how we feel can cause us to set standards of success that don't reflect what we truly want.
